What happens when I reach my limit?
You receive email notifications at 80% and 100% of your tier allowances. You can then upgrade your plan or purchase add-on packs. We never charge overage fees automatically.
Can I switch plans at any time?
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately with prorated billing. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period.
How does annual billing work?
Annual billing gives you 2 months free compared to monthly billing. You pay for 10 months instead of 12, billed as a single yearly payment.
What payment methods do you accept?
We use SEPA direct debit for all payments. This means fully European payment processing with no US card networks involved.
Are all features really included at every tier?
Yes. Every paid plan includes the full workflow engine, visual builder, A/B testing, dynamic segmentation, email designer, and all other product features. You upgrade for more capacity, not capabilities.
What about data sovereignty?
Timonier is a 100% European company with EU-only data centers and zero US sub-processors. Your data never leaves European soil and is never subject to US extraterritorial laws like the Cloud Act.
How do volume discounts work for managed email?
Automatic tiered pricing: €2.50/1k (0-50k), €2.00/1k (50-250k), €1.50/1k (250k+). Applied monthly based on actual usage. No manual tier selection needed.

The free tier includes 100 profiles, 100 emails/month, and 10k events/month. Perfect for side projects and experimentation. For production use, upgrade to Starter (€75/mo) which includes 5k profiles and 20k emails.
Which SMTP provider should I choose for BYOSMTP?
It depends on your priorities: For EU sovereignty + cost efficiency: Mailjet (€90/mo for 100k emails) - French company, GDPR-native, cheapest EU option. For more features: Brevo (€260/mo for 100k emails) - French company, more marketing automation features. For lowest cost (with Cloud Act risk): Amazon SES (€9/mo for 100k emails) - US company, subject to US Cloud Act. We recommend EU-sovereign providers (Mailjet or Brevo) to maintain full data sovereignty.
Why is Mailjet cheaper than Brevo?
Mailjet focuses on transactional email (API-first), while Brevo offers more marketing automation features (campaign builder, CRM, etc.). For product messaging via Timonier, you only need transactional email capabilities, so Mailjet is more cost-effective.
